Guided Rock Climbing

Whether you are a first-time beginner ready to learn the fundamentals of the enjoyable and rewarding experience of rock climbing, an intermediate trying to improve your skills, or an expert looking to find a hidden secret, a first ascent or the best rock climbing in our area, come join us for an unforgettable day of guided climbing in one of the worlds best rock climbing locations. 

Customizable mini or full day packages with locations either in Red River or in the Taos area. 

Guided River Rafting & More

Red River Angler offers the best Whitewater Rafting, Kayaking and Stand Up Paddleboarding Trips in the area. Whether you are looking for extreme class 4 or a beautifully, scenic class 2 float, we have just the trip for you. Our signature full day Rio Grande Gorge trip is perfect for the entire family. Starting in the latter part of the Rio Grande Del Norte National Monument, this trips travels 12-16 miles and includes numerous class 2 and 3 rapids with plenty of excitement for everyone. Don't forget about our plentiful, hot chicken fajita lunch served riverside half way through the trip. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the resident Rocky Mountain Big Horn sheep that call the Rio Grande Gorge home.

Another great full day choice is the iconic Taos Box Rafting trip. This trip travels 16 miles and passes under the Rio Grande Gorge bridge. Packed with class 3 and 4 rapids and an abundance of wildlife. This trip is water level dependent so please check with us on availability. For those with a little less time, the Racecourse Half Day trip is the perfect mix. This trip traverses a beautiful part of the canyon and has numerous class 2 and 3 rapids that are sure to excite everyone in the group. During the warmer months there are amply opportunities to get out and swim while enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Racecourse.

Horseback Rides

Come ride the scenic Sangre de Cristo mountains of northern New Mexico the way it was done 100 years ago – on horseback! Rides are available for all levels from beginner to most experienced riders. We offer a wide range of options from hourly rides to all day treks. We offer adventures to all parts of the Enchanted Circle - Red River, Wheeler Peak, trail options on both public and private lands. You can combine your ride with fishing, hiking and wildlife viewing. Rides available all summer, and spring and fall, weather permitting.

Jeep & OHV Rentals

If exploring on your own is more your speed, then these are for you! 

Rent half-day (morning or afternoon) to experience the mountains or rent a full day to get deep! 

There are limitations and restrictions on where the vehicles are allowed, for example, currently none of our vehicles are allowed on Goose Lake Road.
